Our Coalition
We Care for the Health of Our Community

When was the last time you heard of someone contracting polio? Or coming down with diphtheria? Or smallpox? That’s because doctors and scientists have been able to develop vaccines to protect world-wide populations against these deadly, crippling diseases. Thanks to vaccines, there are at least 14 diseases that most people don’t even think about anymore, unless their child isn’t vaccinated. Vaccines provide protection from disease – it’s really that simple. Diseases and illnesses like tetanus, hepatitis A and B, the common flu, rubella, Hib, measles, whooping cough, pneumococcal disease, rotavirus, mumps, and chickenpox can all be rendered moot thanks to vaccines.
At Nevada County Vax Facts, our number one mission is to help you help your children to stay healthy. How do we do that? By providing clear, relevant information. We seek to promote, inform and drive positive change in the health of our community.
Nevada County Vax Facts exists to deliver bias-free educational resources to Lake County residents. Our coalition consists of like-minded organizations providing unique services. We have all worked for the benefit of our shared community for a number of years and with deep roots established here, we have a vision to build awareness by delivering relevant resources and helping parents shoulder the responsibility of making immunization-related decisions.
